Get Involved

While the MGDF currently does not have a resident guide dog trainer, we have plenty of ideas for those wishing to get involved.

Dog boarding

There are times when guide dog clients need help with keeping their dogs if they or family members may not be able to look after their dog in extreme situations. If you are interested in volunteering as a dog boarder, please get in touch so we can start the assessment process.

Hold a fund-raising event

Should you wish to create awareness and raise money for the MGDF, we are happy to partner and send either a guide dog client with their dog or our O&M specialist who can give an illustrated presentation on the MGDF’s work and other related initiatives.

Volunteer your time

We need volunteers not just to help us financially but also in terms of giving their free time to spread the message of our cause. We are happy to train you and give you the resources to reach out to your network and help us achieve our noble aims.
